September is FASD Awareness Month

April’s story

For April, good support starts with listening. She believes young people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) should be recognised for what they can do and be included in decisions about their lives.

She is passionate about helping young people feel heard, valued and supported to make choices about their future. Through sharing her experience, April hopes to build greater understanding of FASD and encourage people to look beyond labels and see each person’s strengths.
